Aakriti Art Gallery Arrives At The Capital
We are happy to announce the opening of a new chapter at Aakriti. The new space will open on 15th April, 2014, 6 pm at F-213/A, Old M.B. Road, Lado Sarai, New Delhi-110030. We solicit your presence to grace the occasion.
It is a cause for celebration and comes up with an enticing body of sculptures. Considering what Aakriti Art Gallery has offered since its inception in 2005 quite elucidates the fact that the policy that has distinguished it has been its discernment of new promise. Aakriti Art Gallery under the stewardship of Vikram Bachhawat has also taken enormous care to put contemporary Indian art before the public in a balanced and coherent manner in Kolkata. Though its emphasis has largely been on radical young practitioners, in particular, it has also showcased works of Masters and meaningful works from other regions and other parts of the world at regular intervals. The artists showcased here and the past exhibitions have always seen their practice as an attempt to make changes in the perception of the social and cultural future through their interaction with the audience.
Here in this new gallery, sculptures by Akhil Ch Das, Tapas Biswas, Subrato Biswas, Sanjay Kumar Das and Asim Basu scrutinize the living reality in big urban centers which are diverse, but nevertheless direct and different position of art confront the viewer in an overwhelming and dizzying fashion.
The exhibition Soulful Manifestations can be viewed from Monday to Saturday till 31st May,2014, 11 am to 7 pm except Sundays and is also available online at http://aakritiartgallery.com/exhibitionindetail.php?exid=95&exn...
