Social And Political Injustice Trends in Contemporary Art 2011

The exhibition has been titled as Social And  Political Injustice  Trends in Contemporary Art 2011 and will be showcased from September 9^th , 2011 at the aakriti Art Gallery, Kolkata itself. The participating artists are a young contemporary bunch including    Tapas Biswas , Subrata Biswas,   Akhil Chandra Das,   Nantu Behari Das,  Mithun Dasgupta,  Priyanka Lahiri, Sagar Bhowmick,  Partha Guin, Prandeep Kalita, Pappu Bardhan, Swapan Kumar Mallick,  Ketan N  Amin,  Debashish Dutta and Buddhadev Mukherjee. We expect to see each artist’s work of art generating the scope to become a landmark in the social history of our times.

To be inaugurated by Shri Subhendu Dasgupta. Shri Pranab Ranjan Ray and Shri Bijon Choudhury would grace the occasion. Shri Nanak Ganguly will  read a paper on the “Politics in Art”.

The exhibition can be viewed from Monday to Saturday, 12 to 7 p.m, excepting Sundays  and is also available online at www.aakritiartgallery.com
